This is my second blog about Guinness. Not bad for a girl who doesn’t even like the stuff. This one is not recipe for cupcakes however. This is about setting a record for the Guinness Record books. On Saturday June 6th at 4PM, thousands (hopefully) of people and their guitars will gather at Yonge-Dundas Square to play Neil Young’s great Canadian tune Helpless.
So here’s the mission whether you actually have any musical talent or not: learn to play Helpless! I’ve posted an easy enough tutorial below. A week is plenty of time to memorize a few chords. I am actually one of those musically talentless people so I’ll report back here next week as to whether this is actually doable or not. But if you do manage to pull off a passable rendition of the tune let me know. We’ll put a convoy together and head to T.O. next weekend to make music history!
Registration begins at 2PM. We make history at 4PM!
