Wow! 1969 was such a culturally significant year. It really makes 2009 feel like dud! Luckily we can enjoy a variety of 40th anniversary celebrations.
This summer marks the 30th anniversary of Woodstock. The young couple featured in the iconic Woodstock photo above, which was used on the Woodstock album cover and a poster for the documentary had met just a few months before the picture was taken. That’s them on the right, still together, married in fact and apparently they’ve managed to get their hands on a cleaner blanket.
Monday, marks the 40th anniversary of one of mankind’s greatest achievements.
