I’m playing a Hard Drive @ 5 set today for Clarence and Mara, who were married 30 years ago today. So here’s a piece of wedding video from a bride and groom who had definite ideas about how they wanted their special day to unfold. And why not? Who says tradition has to rule the day?
A few years ago one of Sherrie’s cousins tied the knot. When Jackie and Tim walked down the ailse, the grand old organ at the century-old church broke into the (former) CBC Hockey Night in Canada anthem. That would have been the first time in history that the historic pipe organ ripped into that familiar “Da-da-da-da-da…..da-da-da-da-da….” Needless to say we all fell on the floor, not knowing whether to laugh or cry and all thinking “boy, wish WE had thought of that!”
So Happy Anniversary Clarence and Mara. And this video will keep ya dancin’ until I get back from a week’s holidays a week Monday.
