Memo From The Chairman

Melniks: 2, Squirrels: 82

I don't get it.

Why are there more squirrels in the city than in the country.  20 years in Bridgenorth and I think I saw 4 squirrels.  Since moving to Peterborough last year I think I've seen 400 on my property.  We had just as many trees in Bridgenorth, if not more, as we have in the city where these little guys live.  There must be overcrowding in those city trees.

Don't get me wrong.  I think they're cute little things...especially the fella whose face was covered in peanut butter after pulling his head out of a container in our blue box.  Hope he doesn't have a peanut allergy.

But look at what these furry black creatures have done to my garbage lid.  That's not one, but two solid layers of Red Green-certified duct tape I used to patch the hole they chewed in the lid.

The other day I heard some rustling beside the can as I was getting into my car.  Turned out the rustling was coming from inside the can. Sure enough, little Sammy (yes I'm naming them now) was pawing his way out of the can.

Sooo...if you have any suggestions on how I can 'humanely' control the overcrowding on my property, send me a note!
