Ok, so what IS the Roll Up the Rim etiquette should you win when someone buys the coffee for you?
Stu Harrison was in studio this morning to talk about this Sunday's Easter Seals Telethon (Noon-5pm, CHEX TV) and he brought in 6 coffees from Tim's.
I'm faced with a dilemma. I'm due for a win considering I've purchased 10 coffees since the contest began and nothing so far. If the odds are truly 1 in 9, I'm actually overdue for a win. The superstitious part of me suggests that a string of bad luck means a BIG win, like $10,000 or a Rav 4, awaits me. With 3 of the 6 cups from Stu still sitting beside me in the studio, my odds are really good.
So, what do I do if that happens? Do I share the win with Stu? If so, 50-50, or does he get the Rav 4 only on weekends? You know my 'sweet' co-host? The one you think is so nice and pure? She said I should disappear and never say a word to anyone. I think she just wants me out of the picture. "It's the Catherine Hanrahan Show!" Wait a minute. Look at what greed, even the potential of it, is doing to us. It's tearing us apart! That does it. I'm not even going to roll up the stupid rims.
It would be so much easier if people just brought cash.
