Sure, I watch football.  Twice a year - - Grey Cup and Super Bowl.

And, last night's Grey Cup game was a dandy, huh?  Congratulations to the Montreal Alouettes, this year's CFL champions.  I know most people will remember the game as being the one Saskatchewan “blew”;  but, you’ve gotta give full credit to the Als for coming back…10 points down in the last quarter.  And, nice job by Saskatchewan fans...for demonstrating rabid enthusiasm for their Riders throughout Grey Cup week.  A tough way to end it though.

And, although it wasn't the most elaborate stage production, Blue Rodeo's performance was pretty darn cool.  I was among the thousands who had gone on-line within the last couple of months and voted for my 3 picks from a list of 10 Blue Rodeo songs, as part of a Pepsi Max poll.

Two of my three picks made it ("Til I Am Myself Again" and "Hasn't Hit Me Yet").  My third pick was another one of my Jim Cuddy faves ("Head Over Heels")....but, Canada voted for "Lost Together" to finish off the set - - another good, solid tune though.

Hmmmm.  Maybe I'll get to hear "Head Over Heels" on March 10th at Showplace Peterborough (pssst...that's a request Jim!).

Anyway...Blue Rodeo belting out some pure Canadiana tunes, and the Roughriders and Alouettes putting on a good show with our own Canadian brand of football...I think we got our money's worth last night, for sure.

Oh yeah.  Thank you Pepsi Max...for airing a commercial last night that had me rolling on the floor.  (that first "incident" really hit home!)
