is holding a Valentines Fund raising dance and we were wondering if you could please put it on the "What's Happening Report" . We are having it on Saturday February 14, starting at 8:00 and it is at the Millbrook Legion. Tickets are $10 each and are available at the door.

The Ron Marenger Big Band playing from 8-12 at the Rock Haven on Valentines Day Saturday February 14. Tickets are $50 couple singles at $25. A light luncheon is included as well as a silent auction and door prizes. Tickets are available at Craftworks and The Rock Haven.

 

 

 

The YWCA February Tag Days

 

is a fundraising event in which all proceeds go to directly support the YWCA Crossroads Shelters. Volunteers will be handing out the YWCA service cards and collecting donations at local businesses on Thursday, February 12th, Friday, February 13th, Saturday, February 14th and Sunday, February 15th.

For those interested in volunteering to help raise money and awareness for the YWCA or for more information, please call Helen at 743-3526 at ext 105.

 

 

The Galway Cavendish Harvey Social Plan 

 

are holding another Community Youth Dance on Friday February 13, 2009 at the Buckhorn Community Centre (1801 Lakehurst Rd., W.).  Youth 9-15 years are invited to come and dance the night away from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm to a live DJ.  Admission is $4.00 at the door and the snack bar will be open.

 

 

Norwood District High School Hockey Canada Skills Academy

 

is offering a free on-ice and information session for students entering Grade 9 next year.   The session with Head Instructor Brian Hayton will take place on Thursday Feb. 19th at 7:30 pm at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre.  Please phone 639-1655 ext. 226 at NDHS to register by Tuesday Feb. 17th.
