Kenner Foundation

 

raises money through this dance and a golf tournment in July for student awards, bursaries, and Ontario Scholarships for each year's graduating class.  We have a number of tickets still available for this Saturday's dinner and dance and would love to have it be a sell out.

Trent Valley Archives Annual General Meeting


The annual general meeting of the Trent Valley Archives will be held in the chapel of Princess Gardens, Peterborough Square on 23 April beginning at 7:30pm.  Guest speaker will be Ivan Bateman delivering a talk titled "When Peterborough had a Bridge Works:  Discovering William Hartill Law, Promoter and Entrepreneur."

DYNAMIC PRESENTATION ON SUPPORTING, MOTIVATING TEENS @ ADAM SCOTT

 

Popular speaker, actor, author and award nominee Tim Westhead will bring his dynamic message on Supporting and Motivating Your Teen to Adam Scott Collegiate Vocational Institute April 16.

 

Parents and guardians from throughout the area and their teens are invited to enjoy the lighthearted but practical session on:

Westhead, retired head of English at the Toronto District School Board, was nominated for the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence and has been honoured by the Ontario Public School Boards' Association for his contributions to education.  Currently an instructor at Queen's University's Faculty of Education, Westhead was acknowledged by former student and actor Mike Myers, during Myers' induction into Canada's Walk of Fame.

 

 

GIANT SPRING BOOK SALE

 

Friday, April 17th from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Peterborough Public Library (downstairs auditorium), 345 Aylmer Street, Peterborough. To raise funds for the Peterborough Library book purchases and programmes.

 

 

The Downtown Business Improvement Area’s

 

monthly breakfasts are open to the public. Admission is a minimum of $3 donation to cover the cost of the breakfast. They are held at Empress Gardens on Charlotte Street (please use Water Street entrance).

In by 8 out by 9 -Breakfast begins at 7:30 am and the Speaker begins at 8:00am
